Our lead time is usually between 7 to 14 working days, unless you have contacted us as soon as you have placed your order requesting a required delivery date or given details when you are not available or on holiday.

Delivery: This is by a carrier company and we only deliver to the mainland UK, all plants are place in our specially designed cardboard outers on a Next Day Service unfortunately we do not deliver to these postcode area's AB, IV, PA, PH, FK, PO, DD, KA, KW, HS, ZE..

STOCK
Every effort is made to keep all stock true to name and free from pests and disease. No plants are guaranteed to flower during the year of purchase. Our liability for plants supplied is limited to the replacement of those plants, or, at our option, to a refund of the price paid. All other claims, including those for consequential loss, are hereby excluded.

ORDERS

Orders are accepted subject to goods being unsold and to crop shortages or failure, howsoever caused.

DAMAGE AND COMPLAINTS

Any complaints about damage MUST be notified within 24 hours of dispatch and accompanied by photos and details of shortages or pilferage and must be followed up to us, and to the carriers in WRITING, within 3 DAYS of delivery.

 It is essential the Carrier's delivery note is NOT signed off if the consignment is damaged, please sign as DAMAGED. No refunds or responsibility will be accepted if this condition is not adhered to.

 Damaged goods and/or complaints relating to the plants or quantity supplied, should be made in writing within 3 DAYS and the plants retained for inspection if required, along with emailed photos of the damage/plants in question.

 Any complaint of alleged defect in the plants and any alleged defect not reasonably apparent upon delivery to be reported in writing and accompanied by photos within 7 days of delivery.

With respect of any complaint, Mentha Nurseries will be offered all reasonable access and facilities to enable them to investigate the complaint, either by personal inspection of the plants at the delivery address or by asking the Customer to return a sample of the plants along with a sample of the compost used to pot them into upon request.

If you are unsatified with your order all plants must be returned to us by you the customer in the same condition as they have been received, when we have received the plants and as long as the plants are undamaged we will offer a refund minus any carriage charges.  

Mentha recommend their plug plants are potted into a quality propriety POTTING compost within 3 days of delivery.

Once potted a light watering should be given and the plants inspected the following day to ascertain if that watering has moistened the compost throughout, if not another light watering may be necessary.

At no time should you be able to squeeze water from the compost, as this is the major reason why plants die, as the excess water forces the air out of the compost and starves the roots of oxygen.

Only water the plants when THEY need it, a little at a time.

Mentha do not recommend their plug plants are planted direct into the soil, and will not entertain any complaint if this is carried out.

Mentha cannot consider any complaint unless clear proof is furnished that the plants that are alleged to be unsatisfactory were the plants supplied by Barretts and that they were grown and handled correctly and professionally following delivery.
